Four steps
Find the code on the certificate
Each certificate prints a verification code.
Open the laboratory's own lookup
Search the code on the laboratory's COA search page; it resolves to a PDF on bioviridians.com. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from the seller, and make sure the page is on the laboratory's own domain.
Compare the result with the vendor's copy
A real code returns the laboratory's PDF. The product, lot, client name, test date, purity and quantity should all match; any difference in these is a material difference.
Run the control check
An invented code returns nothing. Change one character of a real code and look it up again: a lookup that answers every code proves nothing.
