How to verify a Kovera Labs COA
Check a certificate with the laboratory that issued it, not with the seller. These are the steps we use ourselves (check L3 in How we rate). Research use only.

Four steps
Find the code on the certificate
Each report prints a report code.
Open the laboratory's own lookup
Enter the code on the laboratory's verify page at koveralabs.com. Type the address yourself rather than following a link from the seller, and make sure the page is on the laboratory's own domain.
Compare the result with the vendor's copy
A real code returns the laboratory's own copy of the report. The product, lot, client name, test date, purity and quantity should all match; any difference in these is a material difference.
Run the control check
An invented code returns nothing. Change one character of a real code and look it up again: a lookup that answers every code proves nothing.

What a confirmation is worth in our scores
On a Kovera Labs certificate, a printed key earns +1.5 and a key we confirm at the laboratory earns another +1.5 under our lab rule.
